About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences, and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties.
- Medical student education will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.
- Prepare learning materials and lectures, teach posters, and present for national review.
- Serve in an educational leadership role within the Abdominal Imaging Division.
- Interpret Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy of the body.
- Prior experience in image-guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required.
- Participate in the Abdominal Imaging off-hour on-call program, including evenings, nights, and weekend coverage.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.
Qualifications
Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Skills
The successful candidate will be an accomplished educator and will be expected to serve in an educational leadership role within the Abdominal Imaging Division.
