About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences
  • Participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties
  • Teaching medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at HUP, PPMC, PAH, and VAMC
  • Preparing learning materials and lectures, teaching posters, and presentations for national review
  • Interpreting Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy of the body
  • Prior experience in image-guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required
  • Participating in the Abdominal Imaging off-hour on-call program, including evenings, nights, and weekends

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.

Qualifications

Candidates must have completed an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
