Abatement Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage abatement projects from initial site inspection through final completion.
  • Assess project scope, develop work plans, and coordinate crew schedules and resources.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain detailed job documentation, including photos, reports, and project records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
  • Explain the abatement process, project scope, and expectations to customers.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address questions or concerns.
  • Ensure all work complies with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety controls on job sites.
  • Perform initial inspections and final walk-throughs to ensure quality and completion of work.
  • Document job progress and maintain accurate project files to support services provided.
  • Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to ensure efficient project execution.

Crew Leadership

  • Supervise and direct field technicians and subcontractors during abatement activities.
  • Communicate expectations and ensure crews follow established work processes and safety procedures.

Client Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
  • Explain the abatement process, project scope, and expectations to customers.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address questions or concerns.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all work complies with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety controls on job sites.
  • Maintain proper documentation related to environmental and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in abatement, environmental remediation, restoration, or construction project management.
  • Experience supervising field crews and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of abatement safety procedures, environmental regulations, and jobsite safety practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver License required, Commercial Drive License preferred.
  • Relevant current certifications (e.g., asbestos, lead, mold, or environmental remediation) required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Walking and standing for extended periods at active job sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, occasionally more with assistance.
  • Climbing ladders and accessing confined spaces such as crawl spaces or attics.
  • Exposure to dust, airborne particles, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional use of respirators and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Frequent driving between job sites and project locations.
