ABA Therapist Part Time Afternoons

About the role

One Step Forward is looking for an experienced ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician for part‑time, in‑home opportunities in the Morristown, Cedar Knolls, and East Hanover area. If you're looking for consistent after‑school hours without committing to a full‑time schedule, this may be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Work one‑on‑one with a child with autism to help them make progress toward individualized goals established by their supervising BCBA.
• Implement ABA programs, using strategies including reinforcement and prompting.
• Collect session data and complete electronic session notes.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising BCBA.
• Focus sessions on areas such as communication and language, social interaction, play skills, independence and daily routines, following directions, and behavior reduction and replacement skills, depending on the client’s program.

Requirements

• Previous ABA experience (e.g., ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Paraprofessional, Special education aide, Behavioral health professional).
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Dependable, professional, comfortable working one‑on‑one with children, and able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
• Reliable transportation required for in‑home positions.
