About the role
Since 2011, Ready Set Connect Autism Centers have provided a warm, friendly, and fun learning environment for children with autism and other related disorders. We work individually with each child using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to create a personalized behavior plan designed to help improve fundamental and communication skills. Each child's treatment is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in center-based and school-based settings.
- Follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA.
- Use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Address and manage challenging behaviors using appropriate ABA and safety care techniques.
- Record accurate and detailed data on client progress and behavior during sessions.
- Maintain thorough and organized session notes.
- Report any concerns or changes in client behavior to the supervising BCBA promptly.
- Work closely with BCBAs, teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Act as a liaison between the center, school staff, and families, fostering positive relationships.
- Set up and maintain therapy materials and environments to support successful sessions.
- Adapt materials and teaching approaches to align with the needs of individual clients.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic environments
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to keep students safe from themselves and others and, in some cases, may need to implement CPI (therapeutic holds) procedures
- Must be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and, in some cases, be able to lift a child
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift (at least 50–65 pounds), assist, and/or physically support students, which may include lifting or guiding students of varying sizes
- Ability to physically intervene when required to ensure safety (per CPI training)
- Ability to remove oneself and/or others from unsafe situations quickly
- Ability to maintain attention and focus in a dynamic, high-stimulation environment
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making, particularly in high-pressure or safety-sensitive situations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships
- Ability to perform duties under stress, including during behavioral escalations
Working Conditions
- ABA Therapists will be required to work in the school and center locations, 30-35 hours per week, to meet the billable expectation of 30-35 billable hours per week.
- While working in the schools, maintaining professionalism to represent the values of RSC is imperative
- ABA Therapists will be required to work a minimum of one Saturday or Sunday per month from 8:45 am to 12:15pm.
- Requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, and engaging in play-based interactions.
- Travel may be required between centers and school locations.
- Typical Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Flexible working hours 7:45am-5:15pm, plus one Saturday or Sunday, from 8:45am-12:15pm, per month)

Pay Range
23 - 23 USD per hour (Manchester RSC)
