Responsibilities
- Implement individualized programming and individualized behavior reduction plans
- Follow appropriate data collection and graphing procedures
- Facilitate appropriate naturalistic teaching opportunities (including but not limited to bathing and/or toileting activities, grooming/dressing activities, transfers, and mobility activities, feeding, community integration, etc.)
- Perform maneuvers as required by crisis management procedures, including emergency safety interventions for the purpose of keeping the student, other students, and staff safe.
Qualifications and Skills
- A high school diploma or GED
- A general understanding of ABA principles (preferred, but not required)
- Experience working with developmental disabilities/behavioral health
- Ability to immediately apply constructive feedback regarding student programming
- Communicates with supervisory staff and co-workers in a professional manner
- Exceptional teamwork skills to create a positive work environment
