ABA Behavior Technician/RBT

Location: Passaic County, NJ

Compensation: $20–30/hr (based on experience)

About the role

As an ABA Behavior Technician/RBT at Compass ABA, you’ll deliver individualized ABA therapy to children with autism. Help build communication, play, social, and daily living skills. Work in homes or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy under BCBA supervision.
• Build skills, manage behaviors, and foster independence.
• Collaborate with families and staff on treatment plans.
• Offer encouragement and care during sessions.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Collect and record data to guide treatment.
• Participate in supervision and professional growth.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (college preferred).
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to complete all onboarding requirements.
• Meet physical requirements: active movement, standing, and play-based activities.
• Experience with children/autism preferred.
• Reliable transportation, strong communication, and comfort with technology.

Schedule

Part-Time (15–20 hrs/week), Afternoon/Evening (3-4 hrs/day, vary by client):

• Wayne, NJ: Monday–Friday, 4:30–7:30 PM
• Paterson, NJ: Summer Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1–6 PM; Fall Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30–6:30 PM
