About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). BTs work directly with individuals with Autism and related behavioral challenges, implementing behavioral services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism
- Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA
- Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress
- Maintain detailed session notes and records
- Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, other BTs, and parents/guardians)
- Respond promptly to client, family, and supervisor needs
- Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year working with children or in a related field
- Related roles include: Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher/Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Autism Aide, ABA Therapist, Childcare Specialist, Daycare Worker, Direct Care Worker, etc.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality laws
Schedule
- Part-time: 15–30 hours per week
- Must be available after school hours and/or weekends
- Most sessions begin after 3:00 PM
- Immediate start available in Oceanside 4-7pm
- Immediate start available in Corona 4-7pm
- Immediate start available in Crown Heights 3-9pm
