Finance and Accounting Manager About We are looking for a fractional CFO services firm partnering with growth-stage CPG and SaaS companies to deliver strategic financial leadership, audit-ready accounting, and decision-ready financial reporting. Founded by experienced finance leaders, we operate as an embedded finance team for our clients, combining the discipline of an in-house controller with the perspective of a CFO who has seen many businesses scale. We are in the foundational stage of building the practice, and the people who join now will shape how we operate, the standards we hold, and the clients we serve. The Role As our Finance and Accounting Manager, you will be the operational engine behind our client engagements. You will own oversight of month-end close, weekly accounts payable, cash flow management, and the financial models and reporting packages that give our clients clarity and confidence in their numbers. You will work directly with the lead partners and serve as the day-to-day finance lead across a portfolio of CPG and SaaS clients. Key Responsibilities Month-End Close Own the end-to-end month-end close process across multiple client engagementsManage offshore resources and/or accounting tools to execute bank reconciliations, revenue entries, accrual-based expense bookings, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure books close on a tight cadence with documented controls and review procedures Accounts Payable Oversee and run a weekly AP cycle for clients, including oversight of offshore resources or tools for vendor management, bill approvals, payment runs, and reconciliationEstablish AP workflows that are scalable, auditable, and client-ready Financial Modeling and Reporting Build and maintain three-statement financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for clients Note: This is the skill that we often see roadblocks with talent on - there are a surprising number of candidates that don’t know how to do a proper cash flow statementDeliver monthly budget vs. actuals reporting with clear variance commentaryTranslate financial data into executive-ready insights for client leadership Cash Management Maintain and update a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast for each clientSurface liquidity risks and opportunities to the partner and client executives Client and Practice Operations Serve as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for client finance and operations teamsDocument and standardize processes to support the firm's growth and future hires Required Qualifications CPA license (or international equivalent - CA, ACCA, etc.)4+ years of finance and accounting experience, in-house experience at a CPG and/or SaaS company is a plusDemonstrated ownership of full-cycle month-end closeExperience building and maintaining three-statement financial modelsProficiency with modern accounting and FP&A tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, Bill.com or Ramp, advanced Excel / Google Sheets)Experience managing offshore bookkeeping resources or outsourced accounting teamsStrong attention to detail with the ability to move fluidly between strategic and tactical work Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition (SaaS) and inventory / COGS accounting (CPG)Experience implementing or migrating accounting systemsComfort working directly with founders and executives What Success Looks Like First 90 days Fully ramped on existing client books and close processesOwning the weekly AP cycle for all active clientsBaseline 13-week cash flow forecasts established for each engagement First 6–12 months Closes consistently delivered on schedule with clean, auditable workpapersClients receive timely, accurate monthly reporting packages that they actively use for decision-makingDocumented playbooks for close, AP, modeling, and forecasting in use across the practice Powered by JazzHR
