A&P Mechanic II
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace various airframe and powerplant components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Airbus H160 helicopter systems.
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on Safran Arrano 1A engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Responsible for performing progressive, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to FAA regulations and applicable technical publications.
- Ensure all maintenance is properly performed and documented in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, quality assurance requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform functional checks of fuel, hydraulic, engine, rotor, flight control, avionics, and environmental systems in a timely manner.
- Perform engine runs and return-to-service procedures in accordance with approved data and maintenance manuals.
- Complete diagnostics and troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems and subsystems; maintain aircraft technical publications, logbooks, and maintenance records.
- Read and interpret mechanical manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.
- 2-5 years Rotary wing A&P experience required.
- Safran Arrano 1A engine certification required.
- Experience performing turbine engine and rotorcraft maintenance preferred.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company.
Qualifications
- Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and OEM technical publications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems.
- Ability to perform routine and complex maintenance tasks.
