Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, service, and overhaul aircraft and related components.
- Research technical data and perform disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using company tools and equipment in accordance with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures including wings, fuselage, rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine repair or replacement methods.
- Complete documentation such as identification tags, inspection forms, routing tags, and component removal logs.
- Disassemble and inspect aircraft and engine parts for wear or defects.
- Repair or replace defective engine parts; reassemble and install engines.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
- Perform miscellaneous service duties including cleaning, greasing, servicing, moving aircraft parts, and checking breaks.
- Ensure training records are documented and signed by appropriate personnel.
- Assist with maintenance of company equipment and general shop housekeeping.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and directing other A&P Mechanics when needed.
Requirements
- Valid A&P License required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- 3-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance as an A&P Mechanic preferred.
- Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
- Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
