A&P Mechanic A-573 (Fri-Sun 3x12 Night Shift - 8th)

About the Role

Identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems. Perform 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft. May assist lower-grade mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet, turboprop, and piston multi-engine aircraft, including diagnosis, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare for flight and delivery.
• Check, correct, or replace complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioning systems, pressurization systems, turbochargers, and optional equipment installations.
• Repair or replace engine components and accessory items such as carburetors, fuel control units, fuel injection systems, air bleed systems, oil and fuel pumps, starter/generators, and hydraulic and vacuum pumps.
• Perform 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspections in accordance with FAR 43 procedures.
• Conduct modification work on aircraft systems and structures.
• Perform minor upholstery and touch-up paint work.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification documents.
• Conduct functional checks, engine test runs, instrument tests and alignment, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform rigging, throttle synchronization, and setting stops.
• Observe operation of mechanical systems during flight to troubleshoot problems for in-shop repairs.
• Maintain aircraft in an airworthy and reliable condition, adhering to safety standards.
• Use tools such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools for repairs and modifications.
• Train lower-grade mechanics as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze-level WorkKeys certification.
• A&P license.
• Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, 100-hour, and annual service experience.
• Preferred experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repairs.
• Must successfully complete the A&P Mechanic A-573 checklist prior to qualifying or hiring.
