Key Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance and alteration tasks in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, and industry standards approved by the FAA.
- Ensuring familiarity with all tools and equipment within your assigned area and verifying that all tools are in serviceable condition with accurate calibration.
- Checking that all special tools are available before beginning maintenance tasks, as specified in applicable manuals.
- Conducting inspections in the proper sequence and accurately recording any discrepancies found during the maintenance process.
- Properly documenting work performed in the appropriate maintenance records.
- Reporting any non-airworthy conditions to the Maintenance Manager promptly.
- Maintaining correct tagging and identification of all disassembled components and subcomponents at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician in the aviation industry.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
