About the role
Production helpers will ensure quality of product through dough creation, processing, and packaging areas. Employees will rotate throughout their shift for ergonomic reasons and be expected to work scheduled hours, including end-of-period (EOP) times as needed. Breaks and lunches will be allotted and adjusted based on hours of operation. This position requires flexibility to cover utility/mixer positions in toast/loaf, puff pastry, layer cake, and votation areas. Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required, and lift truck certification may be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Work in puff pastry, toast/loaf, and layer cake production areas.
- Train in all three areas to operate production lines.
- Follow a scheduled rotation through each area, which may be impacted by vacations or unplanned absences.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements: uniform, safety glasses, hearing protection, non-slip footwear, gloves, hairnet, and mouth/nose covering.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a loud environment with moving mechanical parts.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying start times and production needs.
Pay
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
