About the role

Ongoing coverage assignment in an inpatient practice setting at a stroke‑certified hospital, requiring rounding and providing general and adult neurosurgery care, including spinal surgery without instrumentation (cervical and thoracic). Weatherby Healthcare is a charter member of NALTO and has been providing locum tenens staffing since 1995, employing nearly 600 professionals to fill assignments nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage, including rounding.
• Manage call coverage: 3‑7 days per month (in‑house).
• Maintain a 15‑minute call response time.
• See approximately 15 patients per shift and handle 2‑5 phone consults per 24 hours.
• Enter assignment details and time via the online portal.

Requirements / Skills

• General and adult neurosurgery skills.
• Ability to perform spinal surgery without instrumentation (cervical and thoracic).
