About the role

This is a permanent evening shift position responsible for case management for up to six persons served, including individual, couples, and family counseling. The role involves completing assessments, treatment/transition plans and discharge summaries, and determining the appropriate ASAM level of care. The position adheres to ethical and behavioral standards while continuing professional development, and co-facilitates the Reality Group. Additional responsibilities include conducting educational presentations and providing life skills education. The position participates as a member of the Professional Staff in CQI meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and experience are determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Certified Associate Counselors-Alcohol and Drug.

Licenses, Registrations and Certifications

  • Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug, in accordance with Health Occupations Title 17 and Code of Maryland Regulations 10.58.07.
  • Employees assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
  • Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
