About the role

Operate in a safe and efficient manner so as to be productive, while maintaining high quality product with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operations required to set up, operate and adjust multiple polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment to produce integral zipper plastic tubing.
• Work from prescribed production goals and standards, schedules, manuals, detailed specifications, consultations with bag department, shift leadership, maintenance, purchasing and others.
• Ensure the availability of raw materials and other requirements and requisition needed items.
• Work with shift supervisor and team members to establish team production, scrap and quality goals and ensure completion.
• Perform simple calculations for daily production totals and quality results.
• Maintain necessary production, quality and equipment records.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
• Ability to work in extreme heat (temperatures above 100 °F for periods >1 hour) and loud noise environments.
• Awareness of hazards including moving machinery, electrical currents, debris, chemicals, gases; adherence to safety training, cGMPs and SOPs.
• Physical ability to stoop/bend, kneel, reach, stand for long periods, grasp, and get on/off a forklift.
