About the role

Organize and supervise the sports program. Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Demonstrate behaviors leading to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence and pride of accomplishment. Serve as a role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

• Serve as a role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
• Aid in the preparation for scheduled events, meetings or practices.
• Advise, coordinate and support additional staff, such as volunteers and assistant coaches, when necessary.

Qualifications

• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Continuously examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
