9th Grade Boys Basketball Coach

Westwood Public School seeks candidates of diverse backgrounds and experiences for the 9th Grade Boys Basketball Coach position for the 2026-27 school year. Start date: November 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with school administration, faculty, parents, and student-athletes
• Supervise student-athletes at all team events
• Promote a positive learning environment for all team members
• Maintain a flexible schedule for home games and transportation for away games
• Coordinate with the athletic trainer concerning injuries and student playing status

Requirements

• Previous basketball coaching experience (high school, college, or both) is desirable
• Knowledge of the MIAA Handbook and rules
• Concussion Certified
• CPR/AED Certified
• Must have or obtain the MIAA Coaches Education Certification
