94A Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer
About the role
As the Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will maintain and repair highly-mobile missile launchers to ensure battlefield readiness. Your primary focus will be on the TOW antimissile system, DRAGON antitank guided missile systems, and Bradley Fighting Vehicle systems. As your skills advance, you will take on additional responsibilities such as training and supervising other Soldiers, providing technical assistance, and installing equipment modifications.
Responsibilities
- Determine shortcomings and malfunctions in electronic, electrical, mechanical, and circuit elements
- Repair unserviceable optical and infrared components
- Inspect, test, and adjust components to specific tolerances
- Perform quality control measures
- Test instruments and navigational controls
- Read technical diagrams and manuals to locate and repair instrument parts
- Replace equipment parts
- Maintain and inspect units
- Repair unserviceable items

Training
After 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn fundamental Soldiering skills, you will attend approximately 22 weeks of classroom instruction, including hands-on practice in repairing and replacing equipment parts.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
