94A Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer
About the Role
As the Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will maintain and repair highly-mobile missile launchers to ensure battlefield readiness. Your primary focus will be on the TOW antimissile system, DRAGON antitank guided missile systems, and Bradley Fighting Vehicle systems. Responsibilities include testing instruments and navigational controls, repairing electronic assemblies, and replacing equipment parts.
With advanced skills, you may take on leadership roles such as training other Soldiers, providing technical assistance, and installing equipment modifications.
Responsibilities
- Determine shortcomings and malfunctions in electronic, electrical, mechanical, and circuit elements
- Repair unserviceable optical and infrared components
- Inspect, test, and adjust components to specific tolerances
- Perform quality control measures
- Read technical diagrams and manuals to locate and repair instrument parts
- Replace equipment parts and maintain units
- Train and supervise other Soldiers (advanced role)
- Provide technical assistance and install equipment modifications (advanced role)

Training
You will earn while you learn through paid training in the Army National Guard. After 10 weeks of Basic Training, you will attend approximately 22 weeks of classroom instruction, including hands-on practice in repairing and replacing equipment parts.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
