About the role
The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems of various weapons used by the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
- Understand and apply electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
- Develop skills for potential civilian careers as electronic mechanics, avionics technicians, or missile facilities repairers
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Age between 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
Preference for work requiring accuracy and attention to detail, interest in working with weapons.
Skills
Electronic and mechanical principles and concepts, understanding schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams, operating electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment.

Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
