About the role
The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer is responsible for maintaining electronic systems of various weapons used by the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic systems of small arms and artillery
- Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
- Develop skills for potential civilian careers as electronic mechanics, avionics technicians, or missile facilities repairers
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Age between 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
Preference for work requiring accuracy and attention to detail, interest in working with weapons.
Skills
- Electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
- Understanding schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Operating electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
