About the role

The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems in various types of weapons, including handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, and ballistic missiles, ensuring they function effectively for the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electronic systems in small arms and artillery weapons
  • Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
  • Learn and apply electronic and mechanical principles and concepts

Requirements

  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for citizenship

Qualifications

  • Junior in high school or equivalent diploma/GED
  • Interest in working with weapons and electronics

Skills

  • Understanding of schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
