About the role
The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer is responsible for maintaining electronic systems in various types of weapons used by the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic systems in small arms and artillery
- Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
- Develop skills for potential civilian careers as electronic mechanics, avionics technicians, or missile facilities repairers
Requirements
- Enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Age between 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Understanding of electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Interest in working with weapons
