Middle School Math Teacher (Temp-to-Perm) Location: Bronx, NY Pay: $45/hour Type: Temp-to-perm Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:45 PM, plus some responsibilities outside school hours Start: 2026–2027 school year Reports to: School Director About The Role We’re partnering with one of the highest-performing charter school networks in New York City to find a Middle School Math Teacher for a school in the Bronx. The right person believes every student can achieve at a high level. You’ll teach a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum in a highly structured, supportive classroom, with coaching to help you grow. This is a temp-to-perm role, so it’s a real path to a permanent position. Responsibilities Lead students to strong academic growth and mastery of grade-level Common Core math standardsBuild and maintain a structured classroom culture rooted in respect, responsibility and accountabilityStudy, practice and deliver daily lessons using the school’s established curriculumRevise lessons for clarity and rigor with support from instructional coachesCollect and analyze academic and behavior data to pinpoint student needsCollaborate with your team and coaches to solve challenges and improve instructionActively seek out and apply feedback to strengthen your practice Qualifications Middle school math teaching experience requiredTeaching certification is not requiredExperience in a high-performing charter or urban school strongly preferredExcellent work ethic and organizational skillsStrong belief that all students can succeed, plus the drive to make it happenMust clear a background check and fingerprinting Why This Role Competitive hourly pay of $45/hourA clear path to a permanent teaching positionOngoing coaching and professional developmentA mission-driven team focused on student results Interested?
