873 Weekend Shift (Fri-Mon) - Outbound Material Handler - $25/hr

About the role

The Outbound Material Handler ensures all orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped accurately and on time to maintain smooth outbound operations. This position involves using internal warehouse systems and equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently using handheld scanning devices, on foot or with forklift equipment.
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices to prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Pack products accurately and securely using the internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on customer experience.
• Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure accuracy, and operate the bundler system.
• Load and stack packages into designated trailers, verify carriers, move palletized products, and manage trailer lockout procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, computers) following established safety protocols.
• Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals.
• Adhere to all company and warehouse policies.
• Flex into other positions or departments and take on additional duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to 12 hours per day.
• Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs regularly.

Experience

1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.

Education

No degree required. Relevant skills, experience, and alignment with core values are prioritized.

Pay

Starting wage is $25.00/hour, with potential raises of up to $0.88 every 6 months.
