Responsibilities

• General Distribution Center work (picking, packing, material handling, induction, etc.)
• Maintain minimum performance standards while performing required job functions
• Perform the job with the highest standards of quality and accuracy
• Flexibility to work in any General Warehouse function (anywhere in the building, any channel, at any time during the shift) if instructed
• Use Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, voice picking technology, pick-to-light, and other warehouse management systems
• Use basic computer functions as needed
• Be certified on lift equipment if required
• Work safely and abide by all of Carter’s Safety rules and procedures
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of computers, RF scanners, and Warehouse Management systems
• Proven team member with skills to multi-task
• Proficient reading skills
• Ability to abide by all of Carter’s policies and procedures, specifically the attendance policy
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Six months of automated Distribution Center experience preferred

Physical and Work Demands

• Repetitively lift cases weighing up to fifty pounds
• Stand and work for long periods, including daily overtime, holidays, and overtime as required
• Work consecutive days during peak season
• Work in varying temperatures
• Holiday schedule to be decided by Management
• Comply with blackout periods as determined by Management
