About the role
We are looking for experienced Software Developers with a strong background in Java and C# to join our team in Herndon, VA. This position requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph and operates within a small defense contracting environment focused on supporting the intelligence community.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Systems Engineering)
- Minimum of 11+ years of professional software development experience (Expert level, 11-15 years)
- Proficiency in Java and C#
- Experience with modern frameworks and technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, and .NET
- Hands-on experience developing solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle)
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and related tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Jenkins), including pipeline development, release management, and orchestration
- Proficiency with scripting languages, preferably Python or PowerShell
- Experience developing in both Windows and Linux environments
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining solutions within cloud environments (e.g., AWS or Azure)
- Strong documentation skills, including developing concepts of operations and standards of practice for tiered maintenance support
- Ability to interface with senior leadership and provide regular status updates
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, including:
- Database design and administration concepts
- CRUD operations and query optimization
- Implementing SQL commands within application code
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Understanding of data protection and data loss prevention considerations
- Experience developing applications intended to operate across multiple networks or environments, including:
- Disconnected, restricted, or differently classified networks
- Designing applications with portability, security boundaries, and deployment constraints in mind
- Adapting development practices to meet varying compliance, accreditation, and operational requirements

- Hands-on experience working within AWS/Azure/cloud environments
- Hands-on experience developing with Python
- Hands-on experience developing with Ansible
- Hands-on experience developing with Opentext NNMi
- Hands-on experience developing with Cisco NSO
- Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud Deployment technologies like Ansible, Chet, Puppet, etc.

- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Up to $240,000.00 per year
Schedule: Core hours 9am to 4pm with flexible work schedule and comp time (with customer approval)
