Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer with a specialized focus on firewalls, particularly expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, and Netscaler firewall network devices and associated management software. The role supports a technology‑based program for a key customer and requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Developmental (0‑2 years’ experience)
  • Full Performance (3‑5 years’ experience)
  • Senior (6‑10 years’ experience)
  • Expert (11‑15 years’ experience)
  • SME (16+ years’ experience)

Preferred Skills

  • Minimum of 11 years’ experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline (preferred).
  • Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto, and Netscaler devices.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall policies and rules.
  • Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align network security standards with business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network security and firewall technologies.
  • Translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Optional Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with Palo Alto & Cisco firewall platforms; Netscaler experience is a plus.
  • In‑depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP stack, and OSI model.
  • Experience with firewall management software such as Cisco FTD and Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of network technologies and solution architectures.
  • Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in networking.
  • Knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art systems engineering and network design concepts.
  • Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google).
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or similar (preferred).

Pay

Up to $205,000.00 per year.

Schedule

Core Hours: 9 am to 4 pm.

Clearance

Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph is required.
