About the role
We are looking for experienced Network Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology with containerized solutions and orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premises, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing infrastructure.
- Deploy commercial cloud service providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and configure them as network appliances.
- Configure and harden Linux OS in both cloud and physical environments.
- Configure and harden network gear such as firewalls, switches, routers, IPS, etc.
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues after hours and on weekends.
- Deploy CNGA internet network infrastructure with a thorough understanding of the customer's mission.
- Work with the customer's core appliances and services, including their networks.
Requirements
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Developmental (0-2 years’ experience)
- Full Performance (3-5 years’ experience)
- Senior (6-10 years’ experience)
- Expert (11-15 years’ experience)
- SME (16+ years’ experience)
- Optional Requirements:
- Experience and expertise working with commercial cloud service providers
- Working knowledge and expertise using the customer's core appliances and services
- Working knowledge and experience with the customer's core networks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in relevant fields preferred
- Experience and expertise working with commercial cloud service providers
- Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in both cloud and physical environments
- Experience configuring and hardening network gear
- Experience and expertise working with commercial VPNs
- Experience working with commercial messaging applications and Android tablet devices
