7NE Orthopedics Clinical Associate Full Time Nightshift

About the role

The role involves performing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Duties include assisting with patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic physical care to promote patient comfort as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Affords assistance with activities of daily living, making all assigned beds, and safely transporting patients.
• Performs routine tests such as glucose monitoring, urine and stool testing, and maintains quality control logs.
• Assists with basic rehab/Physical Therapy activities, including range of motion and ambulation.
• Communicates with RN regarding nutrition issues and provides total care within scope of practice.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment to prevent and control infections, ensuring safety for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Completes errands as requested and removes out-of-date items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

Skills

• Demonstrated competency in the use of Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
• Experience in dealing with multiple demands and good time management skills.
