Job Duties

• Arc and Detain Persons
• Protect Crime Scene and Collect Evidence and Information
• Enforce DUI/Traffic Laws
• Operate Patrol Vehicle
• Conduct Search and Seizure
• Use Physical Force to Control Persons
• Use Deadly Weapon
• Provide Emergency Assistance
• Conduct Initial and Follow-up Investigation of Crime and Events
• Write and Read Reports and Other Documents
• Present Testimony
• Transport Persons in Custody
• Conduct Interviews and Interrogations
• Conduct Traffic Accident Investigation

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old, but no more than 39 years old prior to enlistment
• Minimum of 2 years of valid driver's license prior to application
• No prior police training will be substituted for cadet training
• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalency
• No domestic violence convictions
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Pass a written exam, physical fitness test, and psychological test

Pay

Base Pay at Enlistment: $55,518.00 ($4,626.50 per month)

Starting Salary After Graduation: $62,778.00 ($5,231.50 per month)

Day of Testing Details (dates will be provided soon)

Please make note of the following important items on testing day:

• Registration starts at 8:30 AM
• Testing begins at 9:00 AM
• You will be directed to park on the Main Lot
• Leave all phones, smart watches in your vehicle
• Bring physical fitness attire (shorts, t-shirts, running shoes) to change into for the PT test
• No offensive clothing is permitted

Additional Information

The Order of Testing Phases Will Be As Follows:

• Successfully pass the written test to proceed to the next phases
• Applicants advancing to the suitability test will plan to stay all afternoon
• No enlistments will be made on this first day of testing
