About the role
This position provides essential administrative and technical direction, acting as a department representative to ensure technical accuracy in project execution across all phases. The role promotes Fluor's competitiveness by delivering high-value, technically competent services. Responsibilities may include serving as Design Lead on assigned projects or performing moderate to complex design assignments.
- Supervise and guide project designers
- Develop cost-effective project solutions for discipline design work
- Create estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, and progress reports, including workforce forecasts
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities
- Analyze and recommend solutions to problems of varying complexity
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Accredited two-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and twenty years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two years if non-degreed (local requirements may vary)
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
- Practical field experience
- Intermediate computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
- Must be able to provide proof of US citizenship
- Greenville - In Office required
- Structural design lead capable of leading a team of 5-10 designers in multiple locations and remote teammates
- Previous experience as a structural design supervisor, area lead, and as a checker
- Previous experience in Software Administration
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with S3D & Smartsketch

Pay
Salary range: $110,000.00 - $204,000.00. The market rate for this role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; final salary is determined by candidate qualifications, relevant experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
