7677-Child Nutrition Substitute $10 per hour
Primary Purpose
The Child Nutrition Substitute is assigned to various job duties including meal production, serving and cleaning. School assignments may vary on a day-to-day basis. Substitutes are assigned where needed.

Education/Certification: None
Skills Special Knowledge/Skills: The ability to read and follow oral instructions.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Follow National School Breakfast and Lunch Program guidelines.
- Prepare or assist in preparation of vegetables, salads, meats and/or bakery items, while following standardized recipes.
- Assist with cashiering duties as needed.
- Serve menu items to customers on serving lines, according to offer vs serve guidelines.
- Assist with cleaning in dish room, kitchen and serving lines.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Store food items and supplies properly; maintain a clean and organized storage area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the proper care and use of equipment.
- Assist with trash removal
- Follow health department and HACCP standard operating procedures for cleanliness and food safety.
- Follow department procedures to promote a safe work environment.
- Assume responsibilities of other absent employees as needed.
- Be willing and able to work on a replacement basis at any campus.
- Arrive on time for work and practice good attendance, while working the schedule assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Working Conditions
Physical Demands: During your entire scheduled work hours you must be physically able to: Stand and walk on hard surface floor unassisted, continually, for at least three hours; Walk briskly; Push and pull carts; Stoop, bend, kneel, and climb; Lift up to 35 pounds; Must be able to load and unload products at a maximum height of 67 inches; Climb a 6 foot ladder.
Environment: Moderate to heavy exposure to hold/cold temperatures, steam, wet floors and cleaning chemicals.
