7001 - Material Handling Equipment Operator

About the role

Symbia Logistics is seeking a creative and dynamic Material Handling Equipment Operator to perform various warehouse activities. This role offers cross-training opportunities and the chance to work with equipment including Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Reach trucks, and Pallet Jacks, while engaging in receiving, data input, sorting, loading, unloading, packaging, scanning, inventory duties, organizing, processing, and pick/pack/ship operations for client products. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail and will also inspect products for defects and report damages as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Take initiative to process, pack, and ship orders accurately and timely
• Follow written directions and utilize RF guns for task direction
• Operate equipment including Forklifts, Reach Trucks, and Cherry Pickers (previous experience required; training on company equipment provided)
• Meet performance standards while competing against personal bests and teammates in a safe manner
• Lead by example in an ethical manner, doing the right thing even when unobserved
• Maintain inventory of products and assist with restocking and replenishment
• Inspect products for damages and report findings to supervisor
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
• Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products
• Prepare products for shipping and ensure accuracy against packing slips as the final check before orders reach clients
• Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers, or similar equipment required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written directions
• Commitment to safety protocols
