Location: Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District, John F. Kennedy Middle/High School

Salary: $45,729 (+ $2,200 for Master's degree) per the CSUFSD TAC Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Standards
• Implement structured, systematic, and explicit literacy instruction aligned to evidence-based reading practices
• Utilize explicit instruction techniques, including clear learning targets, modeling, guided practice, and frequent checks for understanding
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, linguistic, social, and emotional needs of all learners, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners
• Establish and maintain a classroom culture grounded in restorative practices, emphasizing strong relationships, student voice, accountability, and community
• Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and provide timely, actionable feedback
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress
• Integrate instructional technology purposefully to enhance student engagement and learning
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
• Actively participate in grade-level, school, and district meetings, and engage in ongoing professional learning
• Communicate effectively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues to support student success
• Model professionalism by maintaining high expectations for all learners and supporting them in reaching their full potential
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or her designee

Requirements

• New York State Certification in Languages Other Than English (LOTE), Spanish (7-12)
