About the Role
The Payloads Organization is seeking Experienced and Senior Technical Designers for contract roles (6+ months) in Everett, WA and Renton, WA. The Payloads Organization is responsible for aircraft interiors, cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety. This fast-paced, dynamic environment pulls from diverse engineering backgrounds and spans the product lifecycle, from customer configuration development to production and certification.
Your work will involve interfacing with project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions. You will leverage the expertise and resources of the interiors organization to certify and deliver industry-leading interiors products.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
- Support the development of new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools or other methods to provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree.
- 2+ years of experience in technical design, including modeling and technical integration, or an equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria, and release.
- Experience working with technical requirements or technical writing.
- Experience with CATIA support within a production/manufacturing system, part or product design/integration, or validation of compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Visual Basic, Python, Java, model-based design and systems engineering, or relational design.
