About the role
As a Medical Equipment Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will ensure that Soldiers receive the best possible health care by servicing and maintaining all medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance checks
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning or defective medical equipment
- Determine power and space requirements for medical equipment installations
- Install medical equipment
- Prepare and submit medical equipment reports
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Age between 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)
Qualifications
- Experience working with electronic equipment
- Interest in mathematics and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail

- Use and maintenance of electrical and electronic test equipment
- Equipment repair exercises

Schedule
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 41 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
Pay
- Between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change
