About the Role
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in these areas and take responsibility for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
This role focuses on developing strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability.
Responsibilities
- Brand (30%):
- Supervises and supports daily goals and activities of associates to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty.
- Ensures adherence to brand standards, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, and dress code.
- Acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.
- Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
- Emphasizes both in-store selling and Omni-channel strategies.
- People (30%):
- Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results.
- Leverages internal hiring platforms and actively recruits external candidates to fill positions.
- Identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate and provides coaching or counseling.
- Holds the team accountable to company policies and expectations.
- Maintains positive associate relations by resolving concerns and sharing relevant company information.
- Builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers and maintains consistent communication with Area/District Managers.
- Fosters an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Operations (30%):
- Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Supports digital strategies, including Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS).
- Manages inventory through ordering and shipment processing.
- Manages payroll hours and schedules according to business needs.
- Ensures proper execution of store opening and closing procedures.
- Follows through with company directives, assignments, and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
- Safety/Loss Prevention (10%):
- Ensures a safe store environment for associates and customers by enforcing all policies and procedures.
- Protects company assets by ensuring inventory and cash control procedures are followed to minimize shrink and damages.
- Utilizes available reporting, tools, and technology to support loss prevention.
- Ensures compliance with all HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
- At least 1+ year(s) of prior management experience preferred.
- Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
- Effective communication skills with both team and management.
- Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required.

Working Conditions
- Requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.

- May require working in other stores from time to time.
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions, such as safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals.
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
