About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring optimal sales and customer loyalty in assigned stores. They also manage store operations, maintain brand standards, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
Brand: Supervises and supports associates in achieving KPIs and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, and effective communication. Ensures all brand standards are met and resolves customer issues.
People: Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits and hires associates, identifies strengths and opportunities, and addresses them through coaching or counseling. Maintains positive relationships with peers and associates.
Operations: Ensures execution of company processes, utilizes digital strategies, manages inventory, schedules appropriately, and ensures store opening/closing procedures are correct. Follows company directives and maintains compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.
Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensures store safety, protects company assets, analyzes reports, and enforces inventory and cash control procedures. Adheres to HAZMAT training and execution requirements.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
