This position will provide hands-on automation support for manufacturing systems and equipment, including PLC/HMI programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities: Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley/Rockwell automation systems using Studio 5000Develop and support HMI applications using FactoryTalk OptixProvide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for automated manufacturing equipmentSupport commissioning, startup, testing, and qualification activities for new or modified equipmentTroubleshoot PLC, HMI, controls, instrumentation, electrical, and network-related issuesSupport integration of manufacturing equipment with site systems and ancillary equipmentPerform source code review, updates, backups, and code managementSupport SQL/database-related activities associated with automation and manufacturing systemsAssist with industrial network configuration, troubleshooting, and basic network administrationWork collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, vendors, and OEM personnel to resolve equipment and automation issuesUpdate technical documentation, test cases, procedures, and troubleshooting guidesSupport continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing equipment and automation systems Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered2+ years of automation/controls engineering experienceHands-on experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and Studio 5000Experience with FactoryTalk OptixWorking knowledge of SQL and databasesExperience or working knowledge of network administration and industrial networkingHands-on experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and external equipment vendorsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing experience is a plus but not requiredCandidates from consumer products, high-speed manufacturing, packaging, or similar automated manufacturing environments are encouraged to applyOnsite work required in Indianapolis, IN For US geography, the salary range for this position is shown below.
