About the role

The family is seeking an experienced Family Assistant to support their household and two sons, ages 9 and 13. The position involves both household support and active engagement with the boys.

Responsibilities

• Pick up the younger son from school, and occasionally early morning school drop-offs.
• Transport the boys to activities and appointments, including basketball, martial arts, doctor visits, and occasional errands.
• Spend afternoons in Central Park for activities like scooter riding, sports, and outdoor play.
• Prepare dinner for the boys each evening, along with a healthy after-school snack.
• Help with around-the-house tasks such as:
• Preparation of dinner
• Dishes and dishwashing
• Family laundry
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization
• Light grocery shopping
• Taking out the trash

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a Family Assistant, Nanny, Housekeeper, Household Assistant, or similar role
• Previous experience caring for school-aged children and pre-teens
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Reliable, dependable, proactive, and energetic
• CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain/renew certification
