#615 – ROTA Nanny – Downtown Manhattan
Job Overview
The family seeks a full-time nanny for their children aged 2 to 6 years old, starting as soon as the family finds the right fit. The schedule is approximately 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Monday, with a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per rotation. Flexibility is required, including occasional evenings and overnight stays.
The Ideal Candidate
This position is ideal for a professional nanny with significant experience working with infants and toddlers, who is knowledgeable about children's development and genuinely loves caring for them. The candidate should be emotionally regulated and attuned to the children's needs, flexible with scheduling, and able to work with the other ROTA nanny. Some experience in Spanish is appreciated, and comfort in the water is preferred but not required. The candidate should enjoy cooking healthy meals for the children.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and actively engage the children in fun, age-appropriate activities.
- School pick-up and drop-off.
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g., language development, potty training, etc.).
- Taking the children to activities and playdates.
- Diaper changes and supporting healthy hygiene.
- Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules.
- Children’s laundry.
- Meal preparation for the children.
- Keeping the home’s main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of recent full-time nanny experience with children of similar ages.
- Likely to work in the U.S.
- 2-3 relevant references.
- Able to travel; travel with the family is expected a couple of times per year.
Compensation
$35.00 – $40.00 an hour
Benefits
- Major Holidays: Every Thanksgiving and Christmas off. Other major holidays alternate each year between the two ROTA nannies.
