Responsibilities
- Advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
- Supporting tasks such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and attending medical appointments.
- Aiding in activities of daily living, including assistance with medication administration, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
- Participating in paid New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP) training.
- Maintaining certifications, adhering to agency policies, and complying with DDS regulations/policies.
- Safely evacuating individuals from the home in case of emergencies.
Requirements
- Age 21 or older with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- The ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.
