6 South - Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (hiring now for March 2027 start) - Registered Nurse level 1 Inpt

Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642. Work Shift: Rotating.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience, building competency in direct patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Provides care in a fast-paced pediatric unit for surgical and medical patients with cardiac disease, including children and young adults with congenital heart defects undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology patients with known or newly diagnosed cardiac disease.
• Delivers comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary approach from admission through discharge.
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking and communication skills to manage highly acute, complex patients in a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Active New York State RN license in good standing.

Pay

Compensation range: $39.25 – $52.99 per hour. Individual rates are set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Day, evening, and night shifts (D/E/N).
• 8- and 12-hour shifts.
• Holidays and weekends required per unit standard.
• Rotating shift schedule.
