About the role
This position designs and delivers learning experiences for students in a grade level and/or content area, utilizing evidence-based instructional practices and technology.
Responsibilities
- Organizes and facilitates the learning process
- Participates in a community of learning to develop and refine knowledge and skills for student success
- Evaluates student progress and communicates progress
- Collaborates, reflects, and grows to improve learning opportunities for students
Requirements
- Licensed professional
- Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards and the organized plan of instruction
- Expertise in literacy and mathematics at elementary level, or knowledge of literacy and mathematics and content area expertise at secondary level
- Experience working with diverse populations of students
- Ability to establish a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Proficiency in using technology to engage students in authentic learning experiences
- Ability to assess student learning and provide feedback
- Ability to model and promote effective communication
- Professionalism and ethical conduct
- Compliance with applicable laws and district policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Initial or Professional Colorado Teaching License
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Special Education and related legal requirements
