Responsibilities

  • Teach 5th grade curriculum aligned with state standards
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and provide feedback

Requirements

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: K-6 Elementary Education
  • Experience: District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year relevant experience

Pay

  • Minimum starting pay: $50,500/year
  • Maximum salary: $101,999/year
  • Initial pay placement depends on level of formal education and years of relevant experience

Schedule

  • 182 contracted work days
