Position Overview
The teacher will lead the 5th grade homeroom, providing a supportive, structured, and faith-centered environment that nurtures students' academic, social, and spiritual growth. In addition, the teacher will teach math to middle school students, delivering engaging instruction aligned with curriculum standards and best practices in math education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the 5th grade homeroom, fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
- Teach middle school math (grades 6–8), including planning lessons, assessing student progress, and differentiating instruction.
- Integrate Catholic values and character formation into daily classroom life.
- Maintain clear communication with students, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives and student success.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior expectations, and academic standards.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records, grades, and documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students, especially in math, is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate lessons.
