Position: Plan Check Engineer Location: Riverside, CA Pay: $51/hour Type: Full-time; Contract Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm HB Staffing is seeking a Plan Check Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Perform professional engineering review of residential, commercial, industrial, and multifamily building plans and structural calculationsSupport documents to ensure compliance with applicable building, residential, accessibility, energy, green building, and local codesReview complex structural systems and alternative designsProvides technical guidance to plans examiners, inspectors, design professionals, and the public, coordinates plan reviews with other City departmentsResolves code interpretation issuesSupports permit issuance and code enforcement activities Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree desirable)Registration as a California Professional Civil Engineer (Structural Engineer license preferred)Experience performing structural design and building plan reviewThorough knowledge of California Building Standards Codes and engineering principlesAbility to analyze complex structural systems, interpret codes, communicate technical requirements effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
